Job description

Account Manager, Aviation Marketing Agency

OneTeam Aviation Marketing · 100% Remote · Full-time

As a marketing professional, you're good at the part most people find tedious: keeping 10+ moving pieces on schedule and keeping the client updated and calm while it happens. You want the client to call you first, and you love taking the lead to make sure marketing plans get real world results.

About OneTeam

OneTeam Aviation Marketing is a marketing agency built entirely for aviation. Our clients are aircraft brokers and dealers, FBOs, management companies, industry associations, and advanced air mobility companies. We work as their embedded marketing department working alongside the founders and sales teams in private aviation. Because of our focus, we're fully remote and growing.

About the role

As an Account Manager, you'll own the 12-month marketing programs 4-6 long-term client engagements. Clients trust us as their outsourced marketing team, with you managing the quality, consistency, accountability, and client expectations so that marketing plans get results.

Core availability is 9 to 5 Eastern, for client calls and team collaboration. We may invite you to occasionally travel to industry events a few times a year to connect you with clients and have a pulse on the industry.

Aviation is a long game. Sales cycles run months (and years), and the marketing and brand communication needs to stay consistent and clear.

What you'd own
  • Running and preparing for every client call and helping shape the plan that comes out of it
  • Planning what happens for deadlines, deliverables, and client expectations along the way
  • Briefing and directing specialists across SEO, email, paid, reporting, writing, design, web development, PR, and video
  • Making sure the work ships on time and at the quality our clients expect
  • Holding the relationship with client between meetings, staying ahead of what they'll ask for next
  • Making the call when something slips, and bringing it to the team to solve it early
  • Your Primary tools: Asana, Planable, Google Drive, Slack, Claude, Zoom, Airtable.

Our team approach matches you with a Strategy Lead and Marketing Specialist, so that every client has 3+ brains solving problems. After the strategy is approved, you’ll build the plans and oversee everything after that with the help of your team.

What this job is NOT

Not a sales person. You’ll be the client’s biggest advocate and point person once clients choose OneTeam.

Not a seat where you wait for direction. We want "here's what I think we should do and why," not "what do you want me to do?". You’ll direct the work and make the plans that get results for clients.

Who does well here

You oversee and route the work. If a designer is backed up and the deadline is in 4 days, you’ll make the call and tell people what changed. You hold the plans so people can get the work done.

You anticipate. The best account people catch what a client needs before the client raises a concern. You love to stay 2 steps ahead of the plan, so our clients can trust their marketing is handled.

You bring years of marketing depth. You can look at a plan and know whether it's the right move and where it might get stuck. This helps our team stay ahead of the plan.

Most people who fit this role have five or more years in an agency environment in project management, client strategy, or marketing management. We care less about the title than whether you've owned complex accounts and directed work across disciplines. StoryBrand or other marketing certifications helps. So does B2B work with long sales cycles.

What this job is NOT

The good stuff

You'd work directly with the agency executives every week and see how decisions get made across the business.

Your first six to eight weeks are shadowing existing accounts and learning our process. We're big enough to have proven systems and specialists behind you, and small enough that you'll shape how we operate.

Four times a year we stop and rethink an account from scratch. We think in 90-day plans and question “What would we do if we were starting this client today?”. You'd come with opinions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in an agency environment (project management, client strategy, or marketing management)
  • Proven track record of owning accounts and directing work across multiple disciplines
  • Strong ability to anticipate client needs and manage multiple moving pieces simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to lead client conversations and maintain boundaries
  • Experience with B2B marketing and long sales cycles is a significant plus
  • Marketing certifications (e.g., StoryBrand) are a plus
  • Proficiency in project management and communication tools (e.g., Asana, Slack, Zoom, Airtable)
  • Bonus: open to travel to industry events a few times a year

Benefits

  • Competitive salary with flexible work hours
  • Remote work (during Eastern Business Hours)
  • Professional development opportunities and training
  • Due to our small team size, we currently don’t offer healthcare
