Simple Flying is the leading independent voice for aviation news and insight. Our goal is to provide a one-stop hub for all the important stories on commercial aviation, sharing the news in a simple, accessible way. We’re digital first, and all of our content is free to read and access.
As a Video Editor, you'll play a pivotal role in creating captivating video content that resonates with our audience. You'll collaborate with our creative team to produce high-quality videos by leveraging editing tools and implementing compelling voice-overs.
 
Your Responsibilities
  • Edit and upload shorts video content efficiently to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high production standards.
  • Coordinate with the social media team and Video Producer to ensure timely distribution of video content across various platforms.
  • Communicate effectively with the Video Producer and other team members to align on content priorities and deadlines.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and developments to contribute creative ideas for video content.
  • Assist in the development of video production workflows and best practices to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all video content produced for SimpleFlying.
Qualifications
  • Experience in short video production and editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in capturing compelling visuals and storytelling.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar programs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Extremely fast turnaround is required for breaking news.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in digital media and video production.
  • A passion for what we cover and an understanding of key players.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends if needed.
