Job description

Are you on a mission to create games that bond players together into deeply invested communities? Would you like to work on something comedic with lighthearted and whimsical characters? And are you excited to help push the visual quality, performance, and expressiveness of a rich, innovative game?

As a Senior Game Engineer - Graphics on teamLFG, you will work closely with artists, designers and engineers to build expressive gameplay experiences for a multiplayer game while also driving visual quality, rendering features, workflows, and performance in Unreal Engine 5. Most importantly, you will work with a fun, dedicated, and cross-discipline team devoted to turning a creative dream into a new franchise at PlayStation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Build and maintain production-quality gameplay systems, workflows, and tools in C++ on Unreal 5 with minimal oversight

Own and evolve rendering systems in Unreal Engine 5, including lighting, materials, particles, post-processing, shadows, and graphics scalability

Collaborate closely with artists to prototype and implement stylized rendering features, shaders, VFX workflows, post-process effects, camera techniques, and other expressive visual systems

Optimize rendering performance across CPU, GPU, memory, and platform constraints

Investigate and fix graphics, rendering, and visual pipeline issues

REQUIRED SKILLS

Strong expertise in real-time rendering techniques and modern graphics pipelines

Excellent C++ programming skills

Experience with Unreal Engine 5 and its rendering framework

Experience building designer- and artist-facing components and tools

Ability to work autonomously and drive technical initiatives from concept to completion

Strong communication and collaboration skills with both engineers and artists

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

Experience with development on a variety of platforms (PC, console)

Passion for creating visually expressive and polished player experiences

Experience in Gameplay Networking

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

This is a flexible role that can be remote, with varying pay ranges based on geographic location. For example, if you are based out of Seattle, the estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$160,000-$240,000 USD
