Job description

Remote Full Stack Java Developer

We are looking for a remote full stack Java developer application developer to imagine, create, and develop applications to help interact with our customers.

  • Support deployed software by investigating issues and rolling out needed patches
  • Support the team in tier 2 weekly on-call rotation
  • Develop high quality, secure, scalable & maintainable software, abiding by coding standards
  • Review code with other developers to share project and technical knowledge
  • Deploy projects within build and deploy pipeline, includes transitioning first line support to IT Ops team
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and QA testers to plan and execute in a high-energy Agile environment
  • Participate in technical planning, determine tasks associated with project assignments, estimates and dependencies
  • Work with Enterprise Architecture to design software solutions that supports the Mortgage Insurance life cycle
  • Update and modernize code to the latest supported versions to ensure security, stability, and support
  • Flex to work with new technologies and tools as we explore new ways to deliver business solutions
  • Further develop continuous testing and secure coding standards
  • Effectively communicate project status and deliveries to team and management
  • Mentor and counsel junior teammates
