Job description

Location:ย New York, United States (Hybrid)

Hybridย | Full-time

Compensation:ย $200K - $250K

Our client is a well-funded Web3 financial technology company building next-generation onchain investment infrastructure. Backed by premier venture capital firms and leading digital asset institutions, the organization focuses on long-term portfolio management, automated rebalancing, and intuitive user experiences that bring the safeguards and discipline of traditional finance to decentralized technology. The platform abstracts away the underlying friction of DeFi to make real-world assets (RWAs), onchain stocks, and fixed-income products seamless and accessible to a global audience.

To support rapid growth, our client is seeking a Staff Full Stack Engineer to play a pivotal role in developing, scaling, and maintaining their core product suite. This position requires an engineer who excels in building end-to-end features, working across modern edge-native architectures, and operating across the full crypto and DeFi stack in a high-velocity, low-bureaucracy environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full Stack Feature Development: Architect and deliver end-to-end features across a modern TypeScript monorepo (Bun, Turborepo) with an emphasis on type-safe boundaries, domain-driven design, and system correctness for financial workloads.
  • Edge Infrastructure & Serverless Services: Build and manage stateful, event-driven systems utilizing the Cloudflare platform (Workers, Workflows, Durable Objects, Queues, R2, D1, KV, Pipelines, and scheduled triggers) using Wrangler and Alchemy.
  • Web3 Integration & Execution: Implement Web3 workflows using Viem/Wagmi, ZeroDev Kernel smart accounts, session-key permissions, SIWE/Privy authentication, and bundler/paymaster infrastructure across EVM environments.
  • Backend & Workflow Orchestration: Design idempotent, replay-safe execution paths across distributed services using Hono, tRPC, Zod, and real-time event systems.
  • Frontend Engineering: Develop responsive, accessible, and high-performance interfaces using React, Vite, TanStack Router/Query/DB, and Tailwind CSS with polished motion and real-time state updates.
  • AI & Agent Infrastructure: Integrate practical AI workflows utilizing the Cloudflare Agents SDK, Workers AI, AI Gateway, Vectorize, structured outputs, tool calling, and evaluation-driven pipelines.
  • Modern Engineering Workflows: Leverage AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Codex, Claude Code) for rapid research, testing, and implementation while maintaining strict ownership of architecture, security, and code quality.
  • Quality Assurance & Observability: Maintain high test coverage using Vitest, Playwright, and workerd-based integration tests while monitoring system health via structured logs, correlation IDs, Sentry, and Cloudflare observability.

Requirements

  • Core Technical Fundamentals: Strong mastery of TypeScript and software engineering principles, with experience building robust, maintainable systems.
  • Deep Onchain & DeFi Knowledge: Solid technical and economic understanding of core Web3 primitives, including automated market makers (AMMs), decentralized exchanges/swaps, lending protocols, and perpetual futures.
  • Stack Versatility: Meaningful technical depth in at least one key area of the stack (Cloudflare edge infrastructure, EVM/smart contracts, complex React frontends, or distributed backends) with a demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • EVM Proficiency: Solid experience with EVM execution environments. Familiarity with Solana (SVM) or cross-chain messaging/execution frameworks is a strong plus.
  • Distributed Systems & Debugging: Practical experience with distributed tracing, structured telemetry, and edge-native debugging.
  • Mindset: Adaptable, autonomous, and motivated by building meaningful financial tools at the technical frontier.

Benefits

  • Competitive Compensation: Attractive salary paired with early equity and token warrant allocations.
  • Health & Wellness: 100% employer-covered medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Remote Work Stipends: Dedicated home office setup stipend plus monthly allowances covering Wi-Fi, mobile phone, and AI tool subscriptions.
  • Flexibility: Unlimited Paid Time Off (PTO) policy.
  • Culture: High-autonomy, fast-paced environment working on complex infrastructure problems alongside an experienced engineering team.
