About the Role

This is a Full-Stack Software Developer role aimed at new graduates and early-career developers ready to build their careers on a high-impact platform team. You'll join Launchpad, the team that builds the tools and automation behind deploying Solace brokers across public clouds and self-managed environments, running upgrades safely at scale, and keeping the operations behind Solace Cloud running smoothly.

You'll work in an AI-integrated development environment from day one - pairing with AI coding assistants like Claude Code to learn faster, write better code, and ship more. If you're excited about combining full-stack development with Kubernetes, cloud, and modern AI-assisted workflows, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Contribute to our upgrade automation platform - the system that keeps Solace brokers current across customer environments
  • Build features that enable the deployment of Solace brokers in the cloud and in self-managed environments
  • Develop internal tools that streamline operations and make our platform team more effective
  • Deliver features as a full-stack developer - Java/Spring Boot on the backend, React on the frontend
  • Use AI coding assistants and AI-integrated development workflows in your daily work
  • Write automated tests and contribute to CI/CD pipelines
  • Communicate with the team through meetings, demos, and documentation
  • Grow through mentorship, code reviews, and hands-on exposure to cloud-native infrastructure at scale

What You'll Bring to the Role

  • BS. degree in Software/Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or graduating soon)
  • Foundational experience with Java and Spring Boot - through coursework, internships, personal projects, or early professional work
  • Foundational experience with React or another modern JavaScript client framework
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes - comfortable with pods, deployments, services, and basic troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Fluency with AI coding assistants and AI-integrated development workflows (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor)
  • Product taste and product thinking - genuine interest in who uses what you build and why, and an instinct for what makes software feel great to use, not just work
  • Experience with REST APIs and databases (SQL, NoSQL)
  • Comfortable writing various types of automated tests
  • A self-starter, motivated, eager and willing to learn
  • A team player who collaborates well within cross-functional teams
  • A clear communicator who explains technical ideas simply

  • Hands-on experience with multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with managed Kubernetes services - EKS, AKS, or GKE
  • Experience with containers, microservices, and cloud-native infrastructure
  • Experience with event-driven architecture (EDA) and event brokers
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and technologies (GitHub Actions, Harness)
