This is a hands-on engineering role ideal for professionals who enjoy solving complex technical challenges, building modern distributed systems, and contributing to high-impact digital transformation efforts. You will play a key role in application modernization, solution prototyping, and delivering production-ready software using modern full-stack and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Build scalable and secure distributed systems leveraging microservices architecture, containerization, and API-first design patterns
  • Develop frontend and backend services using Python and JavaScript-based frameworks
  • Collaborate closely with UX, DevOps, security, and product teams to deliver high-value software solutions
  • Support application modernization efforts and develop technical solution prototypes
  • Apply Agile and Scaled Agile principles to plan, build, and deliver software efficiently
  • Mentor and support team members while contributing to a collaborative engineering culture
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required Skills / Education:
  • U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience (10+ years total experience considered in lieu of degree)
  • 6+ years of hands-on full-stack application development experience
  • 3+ years of cloud application development experience on AWS
  • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript (must-have skills)
  • Backend framework experience with Django or equivalents such as Flask, FastAPI, Falcon, or SQLAlchemy
  • Frontend framework experience with Vue.js or equivalents such as React, Angular (v1.6+), or Svelte
  • Experience building cloud-native, API-driven applications
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile delivery environments
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with distributed teams

Nice to Have:
  • AWS Certifications (Developer or Solutions Architect)
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, EventBridge
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and automation tooling
  • Experience with RDS (PostgreSQL), MongoDB, Redis, Memcached, Elasticsearch
  • Familiarity with AWS Well-Architected Framework and Serverless Application Model (SAM)
  • Experience supporting technical documentation, white papers, or solution design for proposals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
