Role: Senior IBM Sterling OMS Developer (W2 Position , Remote)

Location: Dearborn, MI (Remote)

Experience Required:

  • 7+ years of hands-on IBM Sterling OMS development/implementation experience in enterprise environments
  • Strong expertise in OMS functional and technical areas, particularly around orchestration workflows and core OMS modules.
  • Participant Modeling Process Modeling (Sales, Returns & Exchanges, Purchase/DropShip, Transfer Orders) Sourcing Payment Processing Inventory Management Agents, event-driven automation, and background processes SDF, Catalog, Pricing/Repricing, and tax-related recalculations (as applicable)
  • Experience working in containerized versions of IBM Sterling OMS
  • Experience in customizing IBM Sterling OrderHub and CallCenter modules
  • Strong hands-on development skills in Core Java (modern Java versions; advanced concepts preferred).
  • Strong experience with RESTful services, JSON, and integration patterns.
  • Solid working knowledge of SQL and data troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals: OOP, design principles, debugging, performance considerations, and code maintainability.
  • Demonstrated commitment to code quality and unit testing (e.g., JUnit/Mockito or equivalent testing frameworks). Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across teams.

Experience Preferred:

  • Experience with Spring Boot or similar frameworks for building supporting services.
  • Experience with transformations such as XSL (where applicable in OMS customizations).
  • Familiarity with containerized development concepts (e.g., Docker) and CI/CD fundamentals.
  • Exposure to frontend technologies such as React and/or TypeScript (helpful but not the primary focus).
  • Familiarity with modern engineering productivity tooling and/or AI-assisted development concepts is a plus.
