The Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer (Job Code-TEC032 / GL-28) (Vue.js / Java Spring Boot / Python) is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable web applications and AI-enabled platform capabilities that support our cybersecurity products and services. This role spans frontend and backend development, with a focus on building intuitive, high-performance user interfaces using Vue.js, robust APIs and backend services using Spring Boot and Python, and scalable cloud-native solutions deployed in Azure environments.

This role operates at the intersection of frontend engineering, backend services, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and applied AI development. The Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer partners closely with product managers, security specialists, DevOps engineers, and other cross-functional team members to deliver reliable, observable, and secure end-to-end solutions supporting complex cybersecurity workflows, intelligent automation, and AI-assisted user experiences.

The role also includes contributing to AI-powered product features leveraging large language models (LLMs), semantic search, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector indexing, and contextual retrieval technologies. The engineer will help design and implement services and pipelines supporting document ingestion, embeddings, intelligent search, and AI-driven workflows integrated into customer-facing applications.

You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

Key Accountabilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end features across the frontend (Vue.js) and backend services (Spring Boot and Python)
  • Build secure, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces that visualize complex cybersecurity data and workflows
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, business logic, and data access layers using Spring Boot, Python services, and ORM frameworks
  • Design and implement AI-powered product features leveraging large language models (LLMs), semantic search, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and intelligent workflow automation
  • Build and maintain data ingestion, indexing, embedding, and retrieval pipelines to support AI-driven search and contextual experiences
  • Develop Python-based services and workflows for AI orchestration, document processing, data transformation, and automation
  • Integrate third-party and cloud-based AI services (e.g., Azure OpenAI, vector databases, embedding services) into customer-facing applications
  • Model and manage relational database schemas and entity relationships to support product requirements
  • Leverage Azure cloud services to deploy and operate full stack applications with a focus on reliability, performance, security, and scalability
  • Apply secure coding practices across the stack, addressing common web and API vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10)
  • Contribute to and follow CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) for building, test, and deployment of frontend and backend components
  • Participate in code reviews and design discussions, ensuring quality, maintainability, and alignment with architectural standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the stack, focusing on root cause analysis and long-term improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical designs and implementations

Core Responsibilities:

  • Frontend:
    • Implement UI components, pages, and workflows using Vue.js (Options or Composition API)
    • Manage client-side state and routing (Vue Router) for complex single-page applications
    • Ensure responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
    • Integrate frontend with backend APIs, handling data transformation, error states, and loading behaviors
    • Write and maintain frontend unit and integration tests
  • Backend:
    • Design and implement RESTful services and APIs with Java/Spring Boot and Python
    • Develop Python services and workflows supporting AI orchestration, document ingestion, embedding generation, vector indexing, semantic retrieval, and prompt orchestration
    • Integrate with LLM platforms, vector databases, and search technologies to enable AI-assisted product capabilities
    • Implement data models, schema migrations, and queries for relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)
    • Use ORM frameworks (e.g., JPA/Hibernate) to manage entity relationships, transactions, and performance
    • Integrate with external systems and services via APIs, messaging, or event-driven patterns where appropriate
    • Implement robust error handling, validation, and logging to support observability and incident response
  • Platform, CI/CD, and Operations:
    • Contribute to CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps (build, test, lint, security checks, deploy)
    • Collaborate to configure and run services on Azure (e.g., App Service, containers/AKS, Azure SQL, Key Vault)
    • Support monitoring and observability across the stack (logging, metrics, tracing)
    • Support deployment and monitoring of AI-enabled services, including observability for LLM usage, retrieval quality, latency, and operational cost
  • Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and drive continuous improvement

You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear directions on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
