Supply Chain Manager (Chemicals)

Accountable for the performance of their defined Supply Chain(s). Primary point of contact for the Business Leadership teams. Defines the objectives (and projects) to meet the required performance. Leads and manages the activities of the Supply Chain Professionals and accountable for talent in their SC's. Accountable for the SIOP and S&OE Supply Processes within their Supply Chains. Provides leadership to ensure customer needs are adequately met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cash / Inventory: Inventory Dollars and Inventory Health

    • Accountable to meet the inventory financial objectives for the Supply Chain

    • Manages the overall health of the inventory: develops action plans to address slow-moving inventory; drives plans to resolution holding respective accountable parties to their action plans

  • Supply Plan (Capacity, Production Plan)

    • Accountable for the Supply Plan that meets the approved Demand Plan; the Supply Plan extends for the 0-24 month horizon

    • Accountable for the execution of the Supply plan to meet orders (aligned with approved policy).

    • Works with the Supply Planner to understand and communicate customer demand.

  • Customer: OTIF

    • Accountable to meet the defined and expected service levels (OTIF)

    • Accountable to report root cause and drive corrective action for performance misses

  • Cost:

    • Key stakeholder in managing freight and warehouse costs (may define footprint and optimization opportunities). Engages with Transportation & Warehouse Team as required.

  • Process & Tools

    • Accountable for the SIOP Supply Review process and the deliverables of the process

    • Accountable for the S&OE processes and deliverables

    • Responsible to escalate issues to the other steps in the SIOP process (Product, Demand, IR and MBR)

    • Supports the Planning Process to align planning tools to support the management of data, systems, and inventory within Distribution Network and Third-Party suppliers

    • Accountable to meet the deliverables of the Product lifecycle processes

    • Defines the stocking strategies and other strategies specific to their Supply Chain

      • Implements and executes MRP and stocking policies (MTO, MTS, SS, time fences)

  • People & Capability Building

    • Positions the SC organization to be active partners with: Business Leadership, Procurement, Quality, Transportation and Warehousing, Demand and Commercial teams

    • Manages the activities, on boarding, performance, development and capabilities of their Supply Chain Professionals

    • Drives a culture of continuous improvement

  • Data Integrity and Management:

    • Accountable for the data integrity associated with creating accurate and reliable supply plans; a data matrix is provided (example: TRLT)

      • Responsible to engage other partners (Mfg, Contract Mfg, Quality, Procurement)

      • Works with Supply Planners to manage Distribution Center MRP settings.

  • Continuous Improvement

    • Drives analysis on service levels, and root cause analysis and corrective actions relating to quality service complaints.

    • Develops and leads a multi-phased improvement plan for their Supply Chain for people, process, tools, data and performance.

Performance Management:

  • Accountable: OTIF (for specified lines of business)

  • Accountable: Revenue Slippage

  • Accountable: Inventory Dollars; Inventory Health

  • Responsible: Supply Chain Metrics (MPS performance, Freight,

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree

  • Business & Financial Acumen

  • 5+ years of experience in materials management fields such as Purchasing, Sourcing, Operations or Planning

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP or similar ERP system, Business Warehouse

  • Excellent communication (written, verbal), logic, and reasoning skills. Effective communication for all Stakeholders.

  • ASCM CPIM or CSCP Certification (preferred; can obtain on the job)

The expected compensation range for this position is between $107,500.00 and $157,663.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
