Job Description:

Parsons is now hiring for aRoadway Engineer Ito join our team supporting major regional road and highway projects in theKansas Cityarea. This position is a remote role, reporting into and collaborating closely with our Kansas City-based roadway group.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Collaborate often withsenior engineers, perform various roadway engineering and design assignments requiring the application of engineering techniques, procedures and design criteria for projects ranging in size and complexity
  • Utilize drafting and modeling software, tools, and programs, to develop conceptual and detailed designs
  • Perform design calculations including material quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates
  • Assist in the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and specifications for assigned projects
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed requisitions for material purchase, services, and subcontracts
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

What Skills & Qualifications You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
  • 3 years or more of related work experience with road and highway projects
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate is essential
  • Professional Engineer (PE) Registration is desirable, but not required
  • Proficiency in utilizing AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation Geopak and/or OpenRoads, is required
  • The ability to communicate and effectively participate as part of an engineering team
