Position Overview

Grand Garden Psychotherapy Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. Work Environment

This position operates within a fully remote outpatient office setting, allowing for flexible working conditions that are increasingly vital in today's environment. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, ensuring thorough documentation from the initial consultation through to the conclusion of treatment.
• Assess clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health by employing various psychological testing and diagnostic methods.
• Develop individualized intervention and recovery plans for clients, which may include individuals, families, couples, and group settings.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions to enhance coping strategies and resilience among participants.
• Monitor and assess client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on feedback and clinical insights.
• Collaborate regularly with other healthcare professionals—including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers—to ensure integrated care for each client.
• Manage referrals appropriately, ensuring clients have access to additional services or specialists as required.
• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges, fostering a supportive environment for recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population is diverse, encompassing individuals from various backgrounds and experiences facing a range of mental health issues, from anxiety and depression to more complex psychological disorders. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will play a critical role in fostering trust and rapport with clients, providing them with the tools necessary to navigate their mental health journeys.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Experience working as a mental health counselor, demonstrating a solid foundation in clinical practice.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to enhance client care and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Experience addressing physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.
• Familiarity with the standards and best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Strong understanding of the impact of prescribed medications and the role they play in client treatment plans.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills complemented by strong interpersonal abilities.
