Data Analyst (Oracle HCM Cloud) 100% remote Pay Rate: Open to Both C2C and W2 options Position Type: Multiyear Contract We are seeking an experienced contractor to support advanced data development and modernization efforts within our HR analytics environment. This role will focus on developing complex queries and database objects across SQL Server and Oracle platforms, with a strong emphasis on sourcing, transforming, and validating Oracle HCM data to support enterprise reporting, analytics, and historical data needs. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain complex SQL and database objects across SQL Server and Oracle environments. • Support HR data replication and modernization, translating legacy SQL Server logic to Oracle HCM–sourced data. • Design and implement data structures, transformations, and database objects for analytics, reporting, and downstream consumption. • Leverage Oracle Analytics tools (e.g., BI Publisher) to source, validate, and interpret Oracle HCM data and reporting logic. • Analyze Oracle HCM frontend functionality and backend data structures to ensure accurate data usage. • Partner with technical, analytics, and business stakeholders to define and validate requirements, metrics, and data logic. • Create and maintain technical requirements, data documentation, including data definitions, business rules, source-to-target mappings, data lineage, and governance artifacts. • Contribute to data quality checks, reconciliations, and cross-system issue resolution. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: • Advanced SQL experience, including complex joins, analytical/window functions, and performance optimization. • Hands-on experience working with both: o SQL Server o Oracle SQL • Strong experience with Oracle HCM Cloud, including both frontend configuration concepts and backend data structures. • Experience using Oracle Analytics tools such as BI Publisher (BIP) and BICC for reporting, data extraction, or validation. • Experience working with or modernizing data from legacy HR systems such as PeopleSoft. • Solid understanding of enterprise data warehousing concepts, including fact tables and historical data design. • Proven ability to produce clear, well-structured technical documentation supporting data governance initiatives. Required Soft Skills: • Ability to work independently as a contractor and deliver on clearly defined outcomes • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly when troubleshooting data or report logic • Clear communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders • Adaptability in environments with evolving requirements and frequent system changes • Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality
