Familiarity with food waste tracking software, reporting tools like Excel or Power BI, and relevant certifications such as LEED or ServSafe is beneficial. These competencies are vital for accurately identifying waste sources, implementing solutions remotely, and achieving measurable sustainability goals.

What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

Remote Food Waste is not a specific job title; however, high-paying remote roles that can reach $10,000 per month without a degree include sales, digital marketing, software development, and freelance consulting. These roles often require strong skills, experience, or certifications and may involve self-employment or contract work. Success depends on expertise, network, and performance rather than formal education alone.

How to make money out of food waste?

Remote Food Waste jobs often involve identifying ways to repurpose or recycle food waste into products like compost, animal feed, or bioenergy, which can generate income. Skills in waste management, sustainability, and knowledge of relevant tools or certifications can improve earning potential in this field.

What jobs will no longer exist in 2030?

Remote Food Waste jobs, such as roles focused on managing and reducing food waste through digital platforms, are likely to decline as automation, AI, and data analytics improve efficiency. Traditional roles in manual inventory management or basic waste sorting may also diminish as technology takes over repetitive tasks, emphasizing skills in data analysis and sustainability practices.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working in remote food waste management roles?

Professionals in remote food waste management often face challenges such as coordinating efforts with on-site teams, ensuring accurate data collection from afar, and implementing waste reduction strategies without direct oversight. Communication and collaboration are crucial, as remote workers must proactively engage with kitchen staff, suppliers, and logistics partners to monitor progress and troubleshoot issues. Additionally, adapting to various digital tools and maintaining motivation without in-person supervision are important aspects of succeeding in this role.

Companies, nonprofits, and startups in the sustainability and food sectors may hire remote workers for these roles to coordinate initiatives, create awareness, and develop digital solutions. The goal is to develop strategies that prevent food loss, promote food recovery, and improve overall sustainability.

Job description

About Us
Our company is on a mission to reduce food waste and make high-quality, affordable food accessible to everyone. Through our innovative app-based marketplace, we connect shoppers with discounted perishable items while helping retailers turn would-be waste into revenue and meaningful environmental impact. We're growing quickly across North America and partnering with retailers of all sizes to expand our reach.
If you're passionate about creating real change for people and the planet, we'd love for you to join us. Your work here will directly contribute to a mission that helps families save money, reduces waste, and builds a more sustainable future.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an Account Executive who is a resourceful, relationship-driven sales professional with deep experience in the grocery space, particularly within independent and regional operations and thrives in a fast-paced, high-ownership and mission-driven environment.
This role is ideal for someone who:
  • Value-based selling mindset-you focus on outcomes, not just features
  • Detail-oriented and organized-your Hubspot records are always accurate and up to date
  • Self-starter who thrives in autonomy and is motivated by targets and impact
What You'll Do
  • Own the full sales cycle for independent and regional grocery prospects in your territory-from lead generation to signed agreement
  • Develop and manage a robust pipeline in Hubspot, maintaining clean records and forecasting accuracy
  • Leverage your existing network in the independent grocery industry to generate meetings and drive referrals
  • Present Flashfood's value proposition and platform to operations, marketing, and executive stakeholders
  • Lead negotiations and proposal development, adapting deal structure based on partner needs
  • Execute a value-based sales approach rooted in customer pain points and ROI
  • Share partner feedback and market intelligence with internal teams to inform strategy and product roadmaps
  • Adapt to shifting regional assignments based on market opportunities and demand
What You'll Bring
  • Relevant experience in sales, preferably in B2B grocery or foodtech sectors.
  • Existing network of relationships across operations, marketing, and leadership in the independent grocery space
  • Experience navigating long or complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
  • Highly skilled in phone-based and remote selling environments-you're energized by inside sales
Nice to Have
  • Experience in grocery, retail, or marketplace environments
  • Experience in high-growth or startup environments
  • Strong understanding of grocery software buying processes, budgeting, and decision-making timelines
  • Exposure to working with real-time data, operations, or customer-facing products
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
  • 100% remote work with flexibility and trust.
  • Mission-driven work that reduces food waste and expands access to affordable food.
  • A fast-growing, collaborative team with big ambitions.
  • Real opportunities for career growth

Flashfood is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and experiences, and we're dedicated to creating an environment where everyone feels supported and empowered to do their best work.
