Crowned Grace International is recruiting a Senior FOIA Analyst with experience in the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). The Senior FOIA Analyst supports FOIA request processing by conducting initial reviews, performing searches, drafting response materials, and applying exemptions under supervision. Your contribution helps ensure workflow efficiency, accuracy, and timely completion, making a meaningful impact on transparency efforts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced FOIA processing functions with minimal oversight and provide subject matter guidance to the FPIA team.
  • Conduct initial request reviews and clarifications under guidance; assist with routing and coordination.
  • Handles complex and high-priority FOIA requests, including those requiring extensive redactions or consultations.
  • Provides training and mentorship to junior analysts.
  • Ensure compliance with FOIA exemptions and policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • 5 + years of FOIA request processing experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication; attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
  • Proficiency with standard office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn eFOIA tools quickly.
  • Ability to conduct effective internet and records research to support FOIA search and review activities.
  • Must be local to the DMV. Primarily remote with occasional on-site in DC.

Preferred

  • FOIA-related training and familiarity with basic FOIA exemptions. (Additional FOIA experience may substitute for FOIA training.)
  • Experience with scanning, file organization, and records research techniques.
