Work Environment

This remote role provides the flexibility to work from home while being an integral part of our outpatient team. Regular business hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of client symptoms related to eating disorders, identifying co-occurring mental health issues to tailor treatment effectively.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, setting achievable recovery goals that are informed by assessments.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), catering specifically to each clientโ€™s needs.
  • Lead therapy sessions aimed at dismantling clients' negative beliefs about body image, food, and self-esteem, fostering a positive self-view.
  • Equip clients with healthy coping strategies, emotional regulation techniques, and tools to combat disordered eating behaviors effectively.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care, addressing the holistic needs of clients.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within Virginia.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the use of evidence-based therapeutic modalities specifically for treating eating disorders, such as CBT, DBT, and ACT.
