Overview
This is a hands-on operational role focused on consistent VLOS flying. All missions are planned in advance. Your job is to bring the drone into the air safely, follow the mission workflow, monitor flight progress, and complete close-down steps. The role suits someone early in their pilot career who can operate within clear procedures and maintain high safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate VLOS flights following SOPs and pre-planned mission workflows.
  • Complete daily pre-flight checks, aircraft inspections, and equipment set-up.
  • Monitor the aircraft in flight and maintain situational awareness.
  • Follow ConOps, risk assessments, and local permissions.
  • Conduct post-flight steps, battery management, logging, and equipment care.
  • Maintain aircraft serviceability and quarantine unserviceable equipment.
  • Keep competency, currency, and engineering authorisations at the correct level.
  • Record flights accurately in Alaris/Centrik.
  • Support ROCs, ground tasks, and set-ups where required.
  • Represent Skyports professionally on customer sites.

What You Need
  • FAA Part 107 certificate.
  • Good understanding of aviation basics and VLOS procedures.
  • Able to follow structured processes.
  • Good communication and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel between customer sites.
  • Experience with DJI, Quantum Systems, or similar (preferred but not required).
