Job description

About Inspiration Mobility Group:
Inspiration Mobility Group is a specialist asset management platform dedicated to accelerating the transition to an electric future. Inspiration invests in, owns, and operates the real assets that enable the decarbonization of transportation, including electric vehicles, charging and energy infrastructure, and real estate. Leveraging our unique combination of flexible capital, cutting-edge technology, and deep operational expertise, our businesses deliver integrated, scalable solutions for the electric economy.
To Learn More: Read the latest on our business here. We're proud to have been recently named as one of the Best Places to Work in the large business category by the Washington Business Journal for the third year in a row.
Your Mission:
Your mission is to improve how our business operates, scales, and executes. You will sit at the intersection of data, systems, and AI-enabled workflows, helping to streamline processes, integrate tools across the organization. You will own high-impact operational initiatives, build and optimize systems, and use AI and automation to reduce friction, increase speed, and enable the company to scale efficiently.
You will report to: SVP, Operations
Key Responsibilities:
  • Research, test, and help roll out SaaS tools that eliminate manual work and speed up team workflows
  • Support system integrations across platforms (CRM, account management, internal tools, etc.) by building connectors, troubleshooting data flows, and reducing manual handoffs
  • Build and deploy automations using no-code/low-code platforms, APIs, and AI tools to eliminate repetitive tasks across teams
  • Stay on the cutting edge of AI tools (e.g., Co-Pilot, Claude, automation platforms) by continuously experimenting, learning new capabilities, and bringing back practical applications that improve how the team works
  • Map, redesign, and document scalable processes so that improvements stick and others can follow them without handholding
  • Dig into operational data to spot bottlenecks and inefficiencies, then propose and implement fixes, not just reports
  • Execute strategic priorities set by the SVP of Operations / Chief of Staff and own the follow-through from start to finish

Who You Are:
  • You have 2-5 years of experience in operations, business analysis, consulting, or a startup environment
  • You have hands-on experience using AI tools in a work setting to automate or streamline processes
  • You are comfortable working with data (Excel/Sheets, SQL, or BI tools) and turning numbers into clear recommendations, not just dashboards
  • You'd rather get something done than overthink it - when you see a problem, you fix it and move on
  • You have experience with automation tools (e.g., n8n, Zapier, Make, APIs). Bonus if you can show us what you've built
  • You are a strong communicator who works well across teams, translates technical ideas for non-technical stakeholders, and builds buy-in before rolling out changes
  • You are organized and process-minded, comfortable documenting what you build so others can run it without you, but you can celebrate when someone improves your original idea
  • You are resourceful and scrappy, preferring to Google the problem, ask AI, or figure it out independently first before seeking assistance
  • You are proactive in your approach to work, consistently looking for areas for improvement without being told
  • Our core values (see below) are part of your inherent DNA, and you can cite many examples of when you demonstrated these values in your career

Salary: $65,000-$85,000
Location: Washington, D.C. Our in-office team works from our Dupont Circle office Tuesday through Thursday. Remote work on Mondays and Fridays is voluntary, and employees are welcome to work from the office if they'd prefer.
Why You'll Love Working Here:
At Inspiration Mobility, you won't just fill a role-you'll help build the company. We're a fast-growing, mission-driven team tackling real, complex challenges at the intersection of transportation, energy, technology, and finance. You'll have the autonomy to take ownership, move quickly, and turn ideas into action, with leadership that values pragmatism, creativity, and momentum. We believe in clear accountability, low ego, and learning as we go-giving you the chance to shape how we operate, scale, and win, while doing work that has a meaningful impact on the future of mobility.
Our Core Values:
Inspiration's culture is based on a shared respect for our core values described HERE. Fit with these values is a critical component of our hiring process, and employees are expected to demonstrate these behaviors in their interactions with colleagues, customers, and all stakeholders. An assessment of how each employee has exhibited our values is an important part of our performance review process.
Our Commitment to You:
Inspiration is an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate based on race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status. We are committed to DEIB initiatives and to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills.
