Education: An engineering degree is not required, but a degree or certification in civil engineering, drafting, or related field is advantageous

OPPORTUNITY - Civil Designer

Our Civil Engineering Team is continuing to pursue excellent, challenging and a diverse work portfolio by building a strong civil team. This position will provide an excellent opportunity to an individual to be part of the Cyntergy Civil Team Leadership Group: First leading with strong technical skills to solve site development civil challenges for clients and secondarily helping the civil teams continuous improvement efforts in setting up design processes, QAQC checklists and strong production drawing and modeling templates (AutoCAD Civil 3D). The work is varied across local, regional and national (we are licensed to do work in the lower 48 states). The work is also diverse in nature serving Federal Government, Local Municipal, Retail, Commercial, Healthcare and Industrial clients. This position will provide an individual the opportunity to lead large multi-million-dollar, multi-discipline projects as the Civil Discipline Lead or allow the individual to provide oversite of numerous smaller projects while providing direction and mentoring of civil designers and technicians.

ACTIVITIES - Civil Designer

Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D software to create and modify site plans, grading and drainage layouts, utility layouts, and construction documents. Work with Civil Engineer to conduct site analysis, and integrate topographical surveys and geotechnical data, to inform design decisions. Ensure designs comply with local, state and federal regulations and codes. Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects and other team members to develop project specifications and budgets. Communicate with clients to understand their needs, present design options, and address any concerns. Perform quality checks and reviews of own work to ensure accuracy and completeness. Create and maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, calculations, and reports. Provide support during the construction phase, including responding to RFIs, and reviewing shop drawings. Stay updated on library trends and advancements in AutoCAD Civil 3D software and site civil design practices.
