• Conduct secure and confidential telehealth counseling sessions using our state-of-the-art digital platform, ensuring a safe space for clients to share their thoughts and feelings.
• Perform thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs, collaboratively developing tailored treatment plans that address individual goals and challenges.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques, to provide effective support for clients experiencing various emotional, psychological, and behavioral concerns.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention when necessary, employing techniques that prioritize client safety and well-being during high-stress situations.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and integrity of client information.
• Educate clients about their mental health conditions, equipping them with coping strategies and resources that empower them to manage their mental well-being independently.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare providers and community resources to enhance the quality of care, ensuring a holistic approach to client treatment.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by staying informed about the latest trends and developments in mental health counseling and teletherapy practices.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at River Town, you will support a diverse range of clients from various backgrounds, including adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related issues. Our client base reflects the vibrant and diverse community in Boston, and you will engage with individuals seeking innovative solutions to improve their mental health and overall quality of life.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts.
• A Master’s degree or higher in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
• A minimum of two years of experience providing mental health counseling in a relevant setting.
• Proven experience in delivering telehealth counseling services is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering strong therapeutic relationships with clients.

• Background in crisis intervention and emergency mental health response.
