As a virtual counselor, you will utilize modern technology platforms that facilitate secure communication and client engagement while providing high-quality counseling services.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations, including diagnostic assessments, to understand clients' mental health needs thoroughly.
• Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to clients dealing with a variety of issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction, using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions, including support groups and psychoeducational programs, fostering shared understanding and community support among participants.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances, establishing clear objectives and therapeutic goals.
• Assist clients in crisis situations by delivering immediate support and conducting risk assessments, as well as coordinating emergency interventions as necessary.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health practices through ongoing training and professional growth initiatives.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, which may include psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at St. Monica Behavioral Health, you will work with a diverse population, including individuals from varying socio-economic backgrounds and cultures. You will address a broad spectrum of mental health concerns, engaging with clients in a safe and empathetic environment. • Required: A master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Must hold an active license as a mental health counselor in the state of Florida.
• Completion of three years of supervised clinical experience as mandated by state regulations.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education to maintain licensure and enhance counseling skills.
• Possess strong interpersonal and counseling skills to effectively engage with clients and understand their mental health needs.
• Ability to administer thorough assessments and evaluations to inform appropriate treatment interventions.

• Additional certifications or specialized training in trauma therapy, addiction counseling, or family therapy are advantageous.
• Experience in telehealth counseling is a plus, as it will enhance the effectiveness and engagement with clients in a virtual setting.
