About the role:

The BESS Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing fire alarm systems that support Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This role plays a critical part in ensuring site safety and system reliability.

You’ll work hands‑on with fire alarm equipment, troubleshoot issues in the field, and ensure all systems meet applicable codes and standards. This role is best suited for someone who is technically strong, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working independently in industrial or commercial environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, and repair fire alarm systems inBattery Energy Storage Systems.
  • Program and test fire alarm systems to ensure proper functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fire alarm systems, including diagnosing and repairing faulty components.
  • Collaborate with customers to customize fire alarm system settings based on their specific needs.
  • Keepaccuraterecords of all installations, repairs, and maintenance performed.
  • Stayup-to-datewith industry trends and advancements in fire alarm system technology.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Valid Texas FAL (Fire AlarmTechnicianLicense) isrequired.
  • Familiarity with NFPA (70, 72, and 101) requirements for fire alarm system installation and testing
  • Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements for alarm system installation.
  • Proficiencyin using hand tools and specialized equipment for installation and repairs.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with fire alarm systems.
  • Ability to detect and resolve problems with cabling and wiring connections.
  • Comfortable reading and working from technical diagrams and schematics
