What We Need 

Corpay is a global leader in Vehicle, Corporate, and Lodging payment solutions that help businesses and consumers manage expenses and spend less. We are currently looking to hire an Accounting Manager within our Lodging Payments division as we continue to build key accounting and finance capabilities at our global corporate headquarters in Atlanta, GA. This is a high-impact accounting leadership role supporting a complex, high-volume global payments business. The Accounting Manager will help ensure accurate revenue accounting, strengthen the financial close process, lead and develop accounting team members, and partner cross-functionally to improve processes, controls, automation, and reporting. The role reports directly to the VP, Global Lodging Controller and provides regular exposure to senior Finance leadership, Treasury, Operations, FP&A, Internal and External Audit, Risk Management, and IT transformation teams.

Role Responsibilities

 

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Own key revenue recognition, revenue assurance, receivables, and accounting close activities for the Lodging Payments business.
  • Lead and oversee accounting team members to ensure accurate, complete, and timely financial reporting across the division.
  • Review contract, billing, and operational data flows to support appropriate revenue recording across service offerings.
  • Partner with Operations to strengthen billing processes, resolve accounting issues, and improve the quality of financial outputs.
  • Maintain an effective control environment by ensuring adherence to global accounting policies, procedures, SOX requirements, and internal controls.
  • Analyze revenue, receivables, reconciliations, and related accounting activity to identify variances, errors, trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with Finance, Operations, Treasury, Audit, Risk Management, and IT stakeholders to resolve accounting matters and support business decisions.
  • Partner with FP&A to understand key business metrics, investigate revenue variances, and support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Drive Finance and IT transformation initiatives, including AI, automation, process improvement, reporting enhancements, and scalable close practices.

Team Management and Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop accounting team members while setting clear expectations and priorities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Provide regular feedback, mentoring, and support to strengthen team capability and engagement.
  • Promote an inclusive, high-performing team environment aligned with Corpay’s values.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Approximately 5+ years of relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably in a large, complex, or high-volume transaction environment.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of supervisory, team lead, or people management experience in finance or accounting.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX requirements, accounting close processes, internal controls, and financial reporting expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability to review account reconciliations, journal entries, variance explanations, and accounting close deliverables.
  • Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active CPA license or progress toward CPA certification.
  • Public accounting experience.
  • Experience with revenue accounting, billing, reconciliations, receivables, or high-volume transaction environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft D365 ERP and BlackLine reconciliation software.
