Overview:
Are you passionate about financial planning and eager to make a meaningful impact? LPL's Financial Planning Group is looking for knowledgeable, curious, and collaborative professionals to support financial advisors through inbound calls and emails. In this role, you'll answer questions on a wide range of financial planning concepts, helping advisors deliver exceptional value to their clients. Beyond phone and email support, there may be future opportunities to contribute to educational content development and brainstorm planning strategies for unique client cases. You'll be part of an exceptional team of planning consultants dedicated to delivering timely, accurate, and actionable advice across all areas of financial planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound calls and emails from LPL financial advisors and staff, providing clear guidance and resources on financial planning concepts and strategies.
  • Research complex planning questions using reference materials and team support and follow up with advisors to share findings.
  • Connect advisors with the right partners (LPL or external) to ensure they get the support they need.
  • Refer advisors to relevant LPL planning support such as Practice Management Coaching, Case Consulting, and Paraplanning.

Requirements:

  • CFP designation
  • 5+ years of experience infinancial services industry, ideally related to financial planning.

Competencies:

  • Grasp of financial planning concepts, with the humility to recognize knowledge gaps and the curiosity to seek answers.
  • Communication skills are required. Must have the ability to ask good questions and listen to understand. Must be able to communicate complex planning concepts clearly and concisely both orally and written.
  • Collaborative, positive, and committed to delivering exceptional service to advisors.
  • Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and SmartSheet.
  • Familiarity with popular financial planning software such as eMoney/WealthVision, MoneyGuide, and/or RightCapital is a plus, but not required.

Preferences:

  • Additional credentials in areas like tax or estate planning are a plus.

Pay Range:

$76,323.00 - $127,205.00
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
