Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing for operational flexibility and the ability to work from the comfort of your own home. We are currently offering both full-time (30+ hours per week) and part-time (5+ hours per week) work schedules, enabling you to choose hours that fit your lifestyle while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. With the ability to set your own hours, you’ll have the freedom to design a work schedule that works best for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging, ethical, and compassionate mental health counseling sessions through secure video chat platforms, focusing on building rapport and trust with clients.
• Perform comprehensive assessments to understand client needs, identifying strengths and areas for growth, and collaboratively developing personalized treatment plans that outline therapeutic goals.
• Guide clients in enhancing coping strategies, problem-solving skills, and communication techniques, ensuring they feel equipped to manage daily stressors and mental health challenges.
• Maintain thorough documentation of client interactions and treatment progress while adhering to legal and ethical guidelines to protect client confidentiality.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to ensure the use of current best practices in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of your role will be providing mental health support to stable, low-acuity adults who face a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders. Many clients seek therapy for support during transitional life phases or to develop coping mechanisms. Our clinic values a client-centered approach, prioritizing individualized care that respects each person's unique circumstances.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Valid and current independent licensure within California as either an LMFT, LCPC, LCSW, or PsyD, enabling you to practice without supervision.
• No prior disciplinary actions against your professional license, ensuring a strong commitment to ethical standards.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients, along with proficiency in using technology and virtual counseling tools.
• Access to a reliable and stable Wi-Fi connection for conducting virtual sessions.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a remote counseling role is a plus, providing insights into virtual therapeutic session dynamics and client engagement.
• Experience with evidence-based cognitive-behavioral strategies or other therapeutic modalities relevant to treating anxiety and depression will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and hours worked.
