As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, your duties will encompass a variety of tasks including:

• Delivering individualized, family, and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques tailored for diverse client needs.
• Conducting thorough initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Creating comprehensive treatment plans that incorporate client feedback, treatment goals, and necessary follow-up strategies.
• Actively engaging in discussions with multidisciplinary teams to align approaches in addressing client needs, ensuring a cohesive and integrative treatment process.

Your client focus will primarily involve individuals experiencing substance use disorders as well as accompanying mental health challenges. The clientele at Safe Horizon comprises individuals from various cultural, socioeconomic, and demographic backgrounds. You will work closely with families, couples, and individuals, utilizing a strengths-based approach to foster resilience and social support among clients.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.
• A current, valid license in good standing issued by the Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Diverse therapeutic methods and interpersonal skills to navigate complex client environments effectively and empathetically.

We are seeking candidates with a minimum of two years of relevant experience in mental health counseling, particularly in substance use and dual diagnosis treatment. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and telehealth modalities will be advantageous.
