Summary: HII Mission Technologies is seeking a detail‑driven Government Accounting Financial Analyst to join our Government Accounting team.

In this role, you’ll help ensure our division meets the highest standards of Federal compliance and financial integrity across a dynamic, fast‑paced portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys problem‑solving, collaboration, and supporting mission‑critical government accounting requirements. This role may be performed remotely.

Come join our growing team today! What You Will Do: • Perform a variety of responsibilities to assist in evidencing and monitoring Mission Technologies Division Intermediate Home Office and Segment compliance with U.S. Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).

• Research and perform actions to comply with other government branch acquisition regulations (e.g., Department of Energy, Department of Justice) in a fast‑paced environment with competing and changing priorities. • Actively participate in the preparation, support, and maintenance of various internal and external government accounting requirements and deliverables such as Disclosure Statements, CAS and Business System audits, Time/Labor Charging compliance, and Cost Impact Analyses. • Assist the team in maintaining a comprehensive Government compliance program and improving Government compliance capability and controls.

• Respectfully challenge any inconsistencies with transparency and collaboration to ensure compliance, and diligently follow through to resolve known issues and mitigate risk. What We're Looking For: • 10 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s in a related field; 8 years relevant experience with a Master’s in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

• Knowledge of financial and accounting procedures. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Qualifications: • Understanding and application of U.S.

Government regulations for Defense Contracts and Public Financial Reporting requirements (FAR, CAS, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles – GAAP). • Experience working with external U.S. Federal government agency representatives and auditors (e.g., DCMA, buying commands, DCAA) with a major U.S.

Federal government contractor. • Experience generating General Dollar Magnitude (GDM) and Detailed Cost Impacts required for changes in cost accounting practices. • Strong analytical skills to understand complex indirect rate structures, intermediate/service center cost pools, and the ability to document and explain these to internal management and external auditors.
