FINANCIAL AID COORDINATOR โ€” JOB DESCRIPTION
Remote | PST or MDT Timezone Required | Full-Time

Position Overview:
The Financial Aid Coordinator reports to the Student Accounts Manager and is primarily responsible for auditing student files, packaging student aid, and providing support to campuses to ensure seamless financial aid processing for students.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide support, clarification, and resolution to campuses to ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures.
  • Review and process Financial Aid documentation in a multi-system environment for incoming and continuing students.
  • Review ISIR information to ensure accurate resolution of issues affecting student eligibility including c-codes, conflicting information, and verification requirements.
  • Manage all data changes and collaborate with campus staff to ensure timely and accurate collection of required student and parent information.
  • Review and process professional judgement for appeals and special circumstances as necessary.
  • Package Federal Financial Aid in accordance with all policies and regulations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Federal Financial Aid and applicable regulations through conferences and online training.
  • Provide campus staff with guidance in data collection, eligibility, and verification processing.
  • Assist in preparation for and completion of annual federal financial aid audits.
  • Identify exiting students and process tuition refund calculations and Return to Title IV (R2T4) calculations in compliance with Federal Regulations.
  • Complete full account reviews for students scheduled to graduate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
  • Associate Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous student financial aid experience preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Related industry experience in federal financial aid preferred.
  • Experience with Anthology Student management software preferred.

  • All Federal Student Loans must not be in default to gain access to NSLDS.
  • Continued employment is contingent on Federal Student Loans remaining in good standing.
