• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and document client cases systematically from initial consultation to treatment completion.
• Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups based on thorough assessments of mental, behavioral, and emotional health.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities tailored to clients' needs.
• Monitor and document client progress throughout treatment, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary to meet therapeutic goals.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses to ensure integrated patient care.
• Identify and address behaviors or conditions that may impede client recovery, developing strategies to overcome barriers.
• Provide ongoing support and resources to family members and primary caregivers to aid in managing mental health challenges within the home environment.

The mental health counselor will work with a diverse range of clients exhibiting various mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and substance use issues. Our clinic serves individuals from various backgrounds, focusing on accessibility and inclusivity in all treatment approaches. Cultural competence and sensitivity to the unique circumstances of each client will be crucial in delivering effective care.

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts.
• A successful score in the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems such as AVATAR for maintaining client information and treatment documentation.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on compassionate and clear interaction with clients.

• Prior experience working as a mental health counselor in a clinical setting, particularly within community health organizations.
• Understanding of various mental health disorders, co-occurring conditions, and the impact of physical health issues on emotional well-being.
• Familiarity with the best practices established by organizations such as the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Knowledge of pharmacotherapy associated with mental health disorders and its implications for client care.
• Demonstrated ability to build trustworthy relationships with clients, fostering a safe environment that encourages openness and healing.

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a sign-on bonus. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
