Job description

This is a remote position, based out of the corporate office in Anchorage, AK. Please note that even if the location reads as Alaska, it is in fact remote.

Teya Support Services, LLC, a subsidiary of Teya Development Company, is seeking an experienced Sr. Project Manager (PM) in General Construction. The Sr. PM will be overseeing Federal DB and DBB projects and expected to manage general construction contracts up to $50M at various locations in the Teya family of companies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

Oversee multiple construction projects from planning through closeout.

Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements.

Manage project schedules, work plans, and deliverables to align with USACE, NAVFAC, and other federal agency standards.

Conduct site visits (approx. one week per month but must be flexible and adjust to project/operation's needs) to inspect work progress, quality, and compliance.

Be on job site location for several weeks at a time in the event coverage is needed.

Oversee site development and coordinate with teams managing building construction (superstructure, MEP, fire protection, security, and envelope systems).

Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local construction codes and environmental regulations.

Work closely with engineers, subcontractors, and field teams to resolve technical challenges.

As a general contractor, actively engage in all aspects of construction, ensuring a well-rounded project approach that integrates both horizontal and vertical scopes.

Directly manage internal teams, including project engineers, superintendents, and support staff.

Work closely with external partners who perform and manage the work, ensuring alignment with project goals, schedules, and quality standards.

Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders to drive successful project execution.

Develop and track project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.

Oversee subcontractor agreements, change orders, and procurement processes.

Identify and mitigate financial risks while ensuring cost efficiency.

Serve as the primary liaison between clients (USACE, NAVFAC, etc.), subcontractors, and project teams.

Lead project meetings and provide clear and concise progress updates.

Build and maintain strong client relationships to support future business opportunities.

Ensure compliance with contract specifications, safety protocols (OSHA, EM 385), and security requirements.

Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Ensure all work meets or exceeds quality control and assurance standards.

Supervise field and office staff, ensuring project teams are aligned with company goals.

Provide mentorship and support to junior project managers and engineers.

Report directly to the Senior Program Manager for Construction, delivering timely project updates and issue resolutions.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. 10+ years of experience overall; split between fieldwork and project management (~5 years in each preferred)

Comprehensive knowledge of general construction practices, including renovations, new construction, site development, and excavation.

Multiple years of experience in the design, construction, and management of SCIF projects.

Strong proficiency in project management software (Kahua, RMS, Procore, P6, MS Project, etc.).

Ability to obtain and maintain DISCO Secret Clearance or higher levels, if required, and be able to obtain access to military installations.

Must be able to manage large general construction contracts, contracts between $500,000 - $25,000,000

Strong relationship-building skills with clients and project partners.

Clear and effective communication in English, both written and spoken.

Familiarity with the Microsoft Suite

Valid Driver's License

Interest in expanding expertise into vertical construction to support general contracting operations.

Experience working on federal construction projects with USACE, NAVFAC, or similar agencies.
