Role: Strategic Finance Director NetSuite/ Non-Profit Required ( Contract)

Duration: 4–6 months with potential to convert

Schedule: Fully remote

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Pay: $55 - $67 / hour

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Finance Director to provide senior-level leadership during an organizational transition. This individual will play a key role in the upcoming fiscal-year budget process and prepare financial deliverables for executive leadership, the Finance Committee, and the Board.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Advanced hands-on experience with NetSuite Planning and Budgeting
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and financial reporting
  • Nonprofit industry experience
  •  Experience managing restricted funding and grants
  •  Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
  •  Experience preparing and presenting financial information to executive leadership, committees, or boards

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process
  • Utilize NetSuite Planning and Budgeting to develop budgets, forecasts, dashboards, and reporting tools
  • Prepare financial reports, budget-to-actual analyses, and executive-level presentations
  • Build financial models, scenario analyses, and long-term forecasts
  • Conduct workforce planning, compensation, vacancy, and staffing analyses
  • Monitor restricted funding, grants, and complex revenue streams
  • Identify financial trends, risks, resource needs, and budget opportunities
  • Partner with department leaders and budget owners to validate assumptions and gather financial information
  • Present financial findings and recommendations to executive leadership and Finance Committee members
  • Improve recurring financial reports, dashboards, KPIs, and analytical tools
  • Experience developing dashboards, reporting tools, and workforce-planning models
  • Experience managing restricted funding and grants
  • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Experience preparing and presenting financial information to executive leadership, committees, or boards
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a changing environment
