The Great Fit Psychotherapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. In this vital role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of clientsโ€™ mental health needs and designing tailored therapeutic strategies to facilitate their healing and growth. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments during initial client sessions to evaluate their mental health status, history, and therapy goals.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that outline specific therapeutic approaches and measurable outcomes for clients.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, equipping clients with coping strategies and tools tailored to their unique circumstances.
  • Regularly monitor and document client progress in accordance with treatment goals, adjusting plans as necessary to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care.
  • Engage in crisis intervention as needed, demonstrating a calm demeanor and effective problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role involves working primarily with a diverse clientele experiencing various mental health issues. This includes individuals facing depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, and relationship challenges. Given our location within the community health landscape, you will likely encounter clients from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, necessitating a culturally responsive approach in your therapeutic practice.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience working with diverse populations.
  • Strong understanding of mental health disorders, proven evidence-based treatment methodologies, and cultural competency in therapeutic practices.
  • Experience delivering both individual and group therapy in a manner that respects and integrates clients' cultural backgrounds.
  • Expertise in electronic health record management and familiarity with telehealth systems.
  • A commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and professional ethics in all interactions.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a community health clinic or similar healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with integrated care models and multi-disciplinary team collaboration.
  • Advanced training in trauma-informed care or specialized therapeutic modalities.
Compensation and Benefits
