Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for end-to-end management of projects in accordance with the terms of the customer agreement and the Company Project Management Framework. The PM will manage multiple projects, either for a single client or for multiple clients, and the projects may or may not be directly related. Projects may be in multiple technology areas. In addition, the PM will build meaningful relationships with internal resources (Engineers, Sales, Operations, etc.) and customers to ensure successful project delivery and build future opportunities.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans in alignment with the scope and objectives defined in the Statement of Work
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of a successful solution
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client for the engagement
  • Collaborate as required to address business or technical issues related to the project
  • Proactively manage risk and resolve issues as they occur
  • Track all project related costs, proactively manage project financial health, ensuring client satisfaction and project profitability
  • Facilitate development of all project related deliverables and obtain approvals as required
  • Ensure that the project delivers the desired solution, remains within the budget, and is delivered on time with the appropriate level of quality
  • Manage vendors or contractors if part of the project team
  • Manage and maintain project information in the appropriate systems (ERP, PSA and CRM)

QUALIFICATIONS & INTERESTS: 

  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in project management or related education; prior experience managing technology projects preferred.
  • Project management related certifications preferred (e.g., CSM, PMP, etc.)
  • Consulting experience or experience with contracting or another VAR preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build meaningful relationships with project teams, clients, and vendors.
  • Ability to balance multiple clients, projects, and resources with an eye for achieving results.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Comfortable communicating across multiple levels of management, including Director and above.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including flexibility and ability to collaborate with a wide variety of personalities and resources.
  • Experience managing projects that cross technology areas or include multiple technologies preferred (e.g., Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, Collaboration, etc.).
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and the complete Microsoft Office suite of business applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Agile or multiple project management frameworks preferred.
