Position Summary and Job Responsibilities
This is a pivotal executive leadership opportunity to shape the future of BGI's Government Services segment. We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Vice President (VP) to drive our strategic growth and ensure unparalleled operational excellence. You will be empowered with full P&L ownership of a dynamic and growing portfolio, serving as the architect of our expansion in critical national security domains. This role is central to BGI's mission of delivering advanced training solutions and you will be instrumental in translating complex customer requirements into tangible, mission-winning capabilities. Job Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & P&L Management
  • Assume full P&L ownership for the Government Services segment, including CAT/CWD, COMS, CIS, and CLS scope, with accountability for revenue targets, profitability, and budget management.
  • Develop, champion, and execute the segment's annual and long-range strategic plans, ensuring tight alignment with BGI's corporate objective to expand our priority air domain training while aggressively growing our maritime, cyberspace, space, and land portfolios.
  • Provide regular, transparent reporting to the BGI executive leadership team on financial performance, program status, strategic initiatives, and proactive risk mitigation strategies.

Business Growth & Customer Relations
  • Architect and lead the segment's growth and capture strategy around BGI's unique Requirements and Capabilities business development processes for Government Services programs across all domains, identifying and prosecuting a pipeline of new and recompete opportunities to meet growth targets.
  • Serve as the executive point of contact for key government customers, cultivating deep, trust-based relationships with Program Executive Officers, senior military leaders, and Contracting Officers.
  • Personally lead major capture efforts, with a focus on strategic wins valued at over $10M, providing critical direction on solutioning, teaming, and pricing strategies.

Compliance & Reporting
  • Lead, mentor, and empower a high-performing, geographically dispersed team of directors, program managers, and operational staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion a "leader of leaders" philosophy, focusing on the professional development and career progression of your direct reports and key talent within the organization.
  • Ensure all program execution meets and exceeds contractual requirements, customer satisfaction metrics, and BGI's rigorous Quality Management System standards (ISO 9001:2015).

Required and/or Preferred Qualifications
  • Required Qualifications
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field.
    • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within the Department of War (DoW) services sector.
    • Demonstrated experience with full P&L ownership and accountability for a portfolio valued at or greater than $20M in annual revenue.
    • Proven expertise managing a diverse portfolio of contract types, including Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF), and Time & Materials (T&M), under Service Contract Labor Standards (SCLS) guidelines.
    • Minimum 10 years of experience as a "leader of leaders," with a proven track record of managing, developing, and mentoring other managers.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
    • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Master's degree (MBA, MPA, or technical MS).
    • 15+ years of experience in DoW, federal services, defense contracting, aviation, training, or mission support.
    • Proven track record of capturing new business, with specific wins valued at $10M+ as a Capture Manager or contributing executive sponsor.
