• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health conditions, focusing on symptoms of mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety.
• Work collaboratively with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that reflect their goals, preferences, and specific mental health challenges.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate meaningful progress.
• Educate clients and their families on the nature of mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to enhance recovery.
• Monitor client progress, modifying treatment plans as needed, and ensure continual adjustment based on clinical observations and feedback.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and address complex cases with a holistic approach.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest research in mental health and mood disorders to inform clinical practice and enhance treatment effectiveness.
• Document all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans accurately to comply with both ethical standards and legal requirements.
• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to discuss client care, share insights, and enhance professional growth.
• Actively advocate for client needs, contributing to efforts that promote the de-stigmatization of mental health treatment.

The primary focus of this role is on individuals struggling with mood disorders, such as depression and anxiety. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, and as a therapist, you will be trusted to offer tailored support that respects their unique experiences and needs. Our clinic emphasizes an inclusive approach, ensuring we provide effective mental health services to all community members without discrimination.

• A valid California license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
• A minimum of three years of relevant experience in mental health counseling.
• Understanding of California laws and professional ethics pertaining to mental health services.
• Successful completion of a background check through the FBI and DOJ.
• Recent (within six months) Tuberculosis (TB) test result.

• Experience working with clients who have learning disabilities or behavioral problems.
• Background in treating clients with various social and emotional disorders.
• Familiarity with addiction treatment methodologies is a plus.
