• Conduct individual counseling sessions through video chat to assess and improve clients' mental health.
• Encourage open dialogue to facilitate clients in discussing their emotions and experiences, fostering deeper self-awareness.
• Act as a client advocate by helping clients identify personal goals and developing actionable plans towards achieving them.
• Evaluate each client’s mental health status, creating and implementing tailored treatment plans informed by your clinical expertise.
• Maintain comprehensive records of client interactions and treatment progress in adherence to best practices and legal standards.
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals and participate in ongoing training opportunities to enhance your practice.

• You will work primarily with well-screened adult clients who exhibit low acuity mental health issues, ensuring a manageable workload without severe cases.
• Clients will be matched with you based on your specialties and demographic preferences, facilitating a more effective therapeutic alliance.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Candidates must hold a full, unrestricted license to practice independently in the state of Illinois. Acceptable licenses include:
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to connect with clients on a personal level.
• Proficiency in technology and comfort with online counseling platforms used for client sessions and communication.

While not mandatory, experience working with diverse populations and specific clinical niches can enhance your fit for this role. Additionally, familiarity with virtual counseling techniques and platforms will contribute to your success in providing high-quality therapeutic services.
