Position Overview

The Mental Health & Addictions Wellness Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain strong therapeutic relationships with clients to foster trust and encourage open communication.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose mental health disorders and substance use issues, devising personalized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs.
  • Facilitate individual, couple, and family therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities to effectively address presenting concerns.
  • Monitor client progress through regular consultations, modifying treatment plans as necessary to support optimal outcomes.
  • Refer clients to specialized services or practitioners when additional support is required, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, facilitating comprehensive evaluations and progress tracking.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse client base, including individuals facing relationship challenges, families in crisis, and those dealing with mental health disorders and addiction recovery. Our clients vary in age, background, and presenting issues, providing you with the opportunity to employ a wide range of therapeutic skills and knowledge. Qualifications
  • A valid and active license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Maryland.
  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices related to substance abuse treatment and co-occurring disorders.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on active listening and empathy.
  • Proficient in utilizing telehealth tools and software for remote counseling sessions.
Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
