Job description

Under limited supervision, the Reporting and Integrations Analyst II is responsible for designing, creating and executing analytical products including standard reporting, custom reporting, import/export data files, eligibility processing, dashboards, and simulation models. This role works with staff to produce routine and non-routine reports that provide valuable insight for all areas of the business to enable continuous business improvements with current practices, products and services.

This position is a 9-month temp-to-hire opportunity and is also open to full-time remote work.

What You’ll Do:

As the temporary Reporting and Integrations Analyst II, you will:

  • Work with business users and decision makers at various levels within the organization to understand business data needs and translate them into reporting solutions. Develop and execute standard and custom reports and data files using MS SQL Server data query tools and provide them to users.
  • Interpret routine and non-routine data and analyze results using analytical techniques and provide ongoing reports. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in more complex data sets.
  • Assist in the completion of daily production tasks as necessary, including, but not limited to, eligibility processing, claim and cycle reporting, and operational reporting. Monitor eligibility data flows to ensure accurate and timely processing. Provide troubleshooting support to resolve incidents. 
  • Partner with management and team members to align to established business and information needs. Support corporate initiatives and projects related to data requests and analytical products. Submit routine and non-routine reports to internal staff and executive team as requested.
  • Validate results to ensure data integrity of the reports and/or files produced. Assist in the development and refinement of validation methodologies and criteria.
  • Work with internal customers on custom data reporting, dashboards, and file requests, assisting with definition of requirements under the guidance of management. Develop moderate queries, conduct testing, develop and enhance dashboards, and execute any import/export processes. Establish and document report data formatting, delivery methods, and maintenance procedures.
  • Support moderate to complex external implementations, assisting in data exchange processes, and contributing to the development of data mapping specifications for custom file layouts. Develop and test eligibility data files, claim files, and custom extracts or reports. Define profiles and document procedures. May participate and support in calls with external individuals.
  • Provide training to internal users on reporting tools and provide ongoing assistance to both internal users and external partners. Work with external partners and system vendors to coordinate data file transfers.
  • Provide guidance on the work of other lower-level professionals or manage processes and programs. Exercise limited discretion to vary from established procedures when performing structured work assignments.
  • Build knowledge of the organization, its processes and customers. Analyze possible solutions using standard procedures to resolve a range of straightforward problems. Receive a moderate level of guidance and direction. Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, and/or Mathematics preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three years of previous related experience such as authoring SQL queries and using report writing tools with SSRS experience.
  • Prior healthcare/life sciences claim data reporting and analysis. (preferred)

  • Proficient with Microsoft SQL, SSMS, SSIS, and SSRS
  • Clear and concise communication with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of internal and external business partners.
  • Manage and prioritize work effectively with some supervision.
  • Git experience (preferred)
  • Solid knowledge of encryption and secure data handling
  • Apply software development lifecycle knowledge
  • Dashboarding experience (Power BI preferred)
