Silver Wing Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This full-time remote position allows you to work collaboratively with clients from the comfort of your home while making a substantive difference in their lives. As a crucial member of our mental health practice, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing ongoing support to clients facing a range of psychological challenges.

You will be using advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems to document sessions and monitor client progress, thus allowing for seamless collaboration with other healthcare providers as necessary.

• Conduct initial assessments to determine clients' mental health statuses, identifying specific needs and issues.
• Develop personalized and culturally sensitive therapeutic plans that utilize evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Facilitate regular counseling sessions, providing individual support to help clients navigate and overcome obstacles such as anxiety, depression, and substance abuse.
• Employ crisis intervention strategies as needed to support clients in high-stress situations and ensure their immediate safety.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and refer clients to psychiatrists and other specialists when appropriate, ensuring comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and modifications as required under state regulations and ethical guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards established by the field of mental health counseling.

In this role, you will engage with a diverse patient population, including individuals dealing with substance abuse, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related challenges, and eating disorders. A strong understanding of various cultural backgrounds will be essential, as our clients come from a range of ethnicities, socioeconomic status, and life experiences.

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychological Services, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current, valid licensure in Maryland as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C.
• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling.
• In-depth knowledge of various mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment approaches.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering both individual and group therapy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to establish rapport and trust with clients.
• Proficient in EHR systems and adept at managing administrative documentation and compliance.
• A commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to ethical practices in therapy.

• Experience working in a community health setting or providing telehealth services.
• Familiarity with culturally responsive therapy methods.
• Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic modalities (such as CBT, DBT, etc.) are a plus.

The salary range for this position is competitive at USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, reflecting your skill set and experience.
