The Clinical Program Manager (CPM) must oversee a remote team of Behavioral Health Advocates responsible for case management (CM) of inpatient and outpatient Behavioral Health services in MO, WI, and KY for our C&S markets. Case managers may work directly with members both telephonically and in the field.
The work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm CST, and may include working a few holidays, but not all holidays.
The CPM and Case Managers will have the flexibility to work remotely. Missouri licensure and residency are required.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Oversee behavioral health care managers for diverse populations, including adults, adolescents, children, and dual-eligible Medicare/Medicaid members with mental health disorders and substance use disorders (SUD), and other co-occurring behavioral and physical health conditions
  • Manage and be accountable to professional employees, team leader, and Director
  • Set team direction, resolve problems, and provide guidance to members of team
  • Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges
  • Influence or provide input to forecasting and planning activities
  • Oversee new product implementations
  • Initiate processes for state initiatives and directives
  • Update and create Quick Reference Guides as needed
  • Oversee and coordinate care with internal and external partners
  • Interface with regulatory agencies and respond to audit findings
  • Interview, hire, and onboard new employees
  • Review reports to ensure team member adherence to key metrics
  • Ensure established benchmarks are met for all C&S markets supported
  • Assist with the creation of action plans as needed for remediation
  • Foster relationships with internal and external leadership and medical directors
  • Cover for management team as needed
  • May oversee work activities of other supervisors

Required Qualifications:
  • You must possess one of the following credentials:
    • Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist
    • Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
    • Missouri-licensed Psychologist
  • Missouri licensure and residency
  • 5+ years of Behavioral Health experience including Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders working across all age groups
  • Experience managing people in a Behavioral Health setting (i.e., hospital, MCO, mental health clinic, or other), conducting staff performance reviews
  • Experience with public and commercial mental health and substance abuse services delivery system
  • Experience overseeing documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Experience with Medicare and Medicaid products and regulations
  • Experience interfacing with regulators during audits
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel
  • Dedicated, distraction-free workspace and access to high-speed internet in home

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a Managed Care Organization (MCO), government agency, community-based services, non-profit
  • Experience working with the MO Behavioral facilities and providers
  • Experience managing clinical and non-clinical phone queues
  • Experience managing a remote team
  • Experience or familiarity with case management services
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and procedures
  • Demonstrated competence in clinical care management, solid leadership and organization skills, interpretation of State and federal laws, and regulations relevant to the mental health program area
  • Proven solid customer service orientation

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
