In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive mental health assessments, diagnoses, and treatment interventions for adults and children facing a variety of mental health challenges. By collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team—which includes physicians, psychiatrists, and allied health professionals—you will be instrumental in crafting individualized treatment plans that optimize client outcomes.

About the Organization

Empathy Matters Healthcare Services, Inc. is a compassionate and patient-centered healthcare provider located in Murrieta, California. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality mental health services tailored to meet the diverse needs of our community. Our commitment extends beyond treatment; we strive to create a supportive and understanding environment conducive to healing and recovery, promoting mental wellness for all our clients.

Work Environment

As a remote position within our outpatient office framework, this role offers flexibility while ensuring you remain integrated with our collaborative team dynamics. You will have access to advanced telehealth systems and tools that facilitate seamless communication with colleagues and clients alike, supporting effective treatment delivery from the comfort of your home. This supportive work environment encourages professional growth and the sharing of best practices to enhance clinical skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed mental health assessments for clients, leveraging various tools and methodologies to develop precise diagnostic impressions.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans for clients diagnosed with acute and chronic mental health conditions.
  • Provide outpatient psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, families, and groups, helping each member navigate their unique challenges.
  • Maintain ongoing confidential records in accordance with state regulations and NCQA standards, ensuring comprehensive documentation of treatment progress and adjustments.
  • Engage in collaborative staffing conferences, contributing to team discussions on treatment selection, planning, and evaluation.
  • Supervise and mentor Post-Masters Fellows and Associates in their clinical practice as needed, fostering a learning environment that supports new clinicians.
  • Actively participate in the department’s on-call rotation, providing crisis intervention and support as required.
  • Work alongside physicians to evaluate clients for appropriate psychotropic medication when necessary, ensuring holistic care that aligns with each client's treatment pathway.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our team of mental health professionals serves a diverse clientele, including both adults and children experiencing a range of mental health disorders. From anxiety and depression to more complex psychiatric conditions, we tailor our interventions based on individual needs, ensuring that treatment plans are client-centric and culturally competent. This position allows you to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals and families within our community, addressing mental health challenges in a supportive and empathetic setting.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
  • Active license in California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
Preferred Experience

Although not mandatory, previous experience working in a telehealth setting is highly desirable. Candidates who have engaged with multidisciplinary teams and possess knowledge of contemporary mental health practices will excel in this role. Additional certifications in specialized therapy modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT) can enhance your candidacy and clinical effectiveness.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive annual salary ranging from $120,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience and caseload.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and generous paid time off.
  • Professional development opportunities, including access to continuing education resources and clinical training.
  • A supportive and collaborative team culture that values your contributions and encourages work-life balance.
