As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at New Cross Center for Mental Health, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapy to couples, families, and individuals, tailoring approaches to uniquely address their specific needs.
• Address a diverse range of issues including but not limited to relationship dynamics, communication barriers, grief, trauma, substance abuse, and mental health concerns.
• Facilitate family therapy sessions that explore dynamics and encourage positive change.
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
• Document and maintain accurate records of client progress and treatment interventions.
• Participate in continuous professional development and attend training sessions to stay abreast of current trends and techniques in mental health.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a holistic approach to treatment and patient care.

Your role will include working with a broad demographic of clients, from children and adolescents to adults and families. You will assist individuals undergoing significant life transitions such as divorce or the blending of families, as well as those facing trauma, loss, medical issues, and other emotional challenges. Your insights and therapeutic interventions will help these clients navigate their unique circumstances effectively.

The role requires:

• A valid and active state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Proven commitment to ethical practices in therapy and patient confidentiality.
• Experience utilizing teletherapy tools and platforms is highly advantageous.

While candidates at various levels are welcome, the following experience is preferred:

• Previous experience in a community health clinic or similar environment.
• Familiarity with family systems therapy and crisis intervention techniques.
• Experience working with diverse populations and understanding the cultural nuances affecting therapy.

At New Cross Center for Mental Health, we offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
