Gotham Enterprises Ltd is looking for a dedicated and licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our innovative Special Education Program as a key member of our Mental Health Team. This is a full-time remote position located in Portland, Connecticut, where you will play an essential role in supporting students with diverse special needs. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough mental health assessments to evaluate the needs of students and develop tailored intervention strategies.
• Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans that align with students' specific mental health challenges and educational goals.
• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapy sessions, to promote emotional regulation and personal development.
• Developing crisis intervention strategies and providing immediate support during mental health emergencies or acute distress.
• Offering psychoeducation workshops for students and families to enhance their understanding of mental health conditions and coping resources.
• Collaborating proactively with a cross-functional team including educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and parent advocates to ensure comprehensive care for students.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of client interactions and treatment plans in line with legal and ethical standards.
• Participating in team meetings and contributing to case conferences focused on continuous improvement and shared learning efforts.

In this role, you will engage primarily with students facing a range of challenges, from mild learning disabilities to complex emotional and behavioral disorders. Your expertise will enable these students to build resilience and equip them with effective coping strategies, fostering their ability to thrive both in school and their personal lives.

To excel in this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of clinical practices.
• Current, valid LCSW licensure in the state of Connecticut.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in practice.

While two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we are particularly interested in candidates who have:

• Hands-on experience in delivering therapy to children and adolescents with special educational needs.
• A solid knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities and trauma-informed care principles.
• Demonstrated crisis intervention skills and the ability to respond effectively to mental health emergencies.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure efficient documentation and data management.
