• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' social, emotional, and psychological needs to tailor appropriate interventions effectively.
• Engage in individual and group counseling sessions using evidence-based therapeutic practices to facilitate healing and support.
• Develop tailored service plans that align with clients' goals and objectives, regularly reviewing and adjusting these plans as necessary.
• Advocate for clients’ rights, ensuring they have access to essential resources and support systems within the community.
• Contribute to the development and evaluation of programs aimed at enhancing mental health services, including grant reporting and quality assessments.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and coordinated care for clients.
• Participate in regular training and community outreach efforts to foster awareness of social justice issues and the services available.

The LCSW will primarily work with clients and families dealing with end-of-life issues, bereavement, and transitions related to hospice care. This sensitive patient population requires a specialized approach encompassing empathy, active listening, and trauma-informed practices. You will be instrumental in guiding clients through complex emotional landscapes and ensuring they receive comprehensive care tailored to their individual circumstances.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Strong understanding of social justice principles and advocacy strategies.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
• Competence in organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively.

• Experience working within a nonprofit organization or in hospice care settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles and methodologies.
• Prior experience in program evaluation, development, or grant writing is a plus.
• Knowledge of community resources available for clients and families.
