Mediate.ly is seeking an experienced Account Manager to serve as the primary strategic and day to day partner for assigned client accounts. This role owns client relationships, performance conversations, and growth initiatives, while acting as a critical bridge between client needs and internal teams.
The Account Manager ensures accounts are not only well managed but continuously evolving and expanding through thoughtful digital media strategy, clear communication, and proactive opportunity identification.
Current account ownership includes a higher education client (Digital) and a healthcare client, with additional accounts to be assigned as the business grows.
Measures:
  • Client retention and satisfaction
  • Organic revenue growth within existing accounts
  • Quality and effectiveness of client communication and performance reporting
  • Timely delivery of plans, recommendations, and client deliverables

Reports to: Account Director
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Account Ownership & Client Partnership
    • Own assigned client accounts end to end, acting as the primary point of contact
    • Build and maintain strong, trusted client relationships through clear communication and strategic guidance
    • Lead client meetings, performance reviews, and planning discussions
    • Manage expectations, navigate complex or challenging conversations, and ensure long-term health
  • Digital Media & Performance Oversight
    • Maintain fluency across digital media channels including paid social, programmatic, search, display etc.
    • Review and analyze campaign performance data to provide meaningful, strategic insights and recommendations
    • Partner closely with internal teams to align execution with client goals
    • Translate performance data into clear, actionable narratives for clients
  • Growth & Revenue Expansion
    • Identify and proactively present organic growth opportunities within existing accounts (e.g., expanded scope, new services, seasonal initiatives)
    • Support revenue growth by deepening client engagements and expanding partnerships beyond maintenance
  • Internal Collaboration & Organization
    • Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and priorities across internal teams
    • Ensure responsiveness, organization, and follow through in a fast-paced agency environment
    • Maintain accurate documentation, notes, and account records

What it takes to succeed in this role
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5-7 years of experience in account management, client services, or digital agency environments
  • Proven ability to earn trust, manage expectations, and act as a strategic partner-not just a liaison
  • Strong working knowledge of digital advertising channels and performance metrics, with the ability to discuss results strategically with clients
  • Demonstrated experience identifying and driving organic growth within existing accounts
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
  • Preferred / Nice to Have:
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Experience working in a fast-paced agency environment
