• Conduct initial evaluations to assess the mental health needs of trauma patients, gathering comprehensive information about their experiences and challenges.
• Collaborate with patients to develop tailored treatment plans that address their unique circumstances, incorporating evidence-based methodologies and coping strategies.
• Facilitate regular counseling sessions, where you will actively listen to patients, helping them articulate their feelings and concerns in a safe environment.
• Provide psychoeducation on stress management and trauma coping mechanisms to empower patients and their families.
• Monitor patient progress through systematic assessments, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Engage in cross-functional coordination with other healthcare providers and community resources to deliver comprehensive care and support for your patients.
• Maintain national certification and stay current in best practices by completing required continuing education courses.
• Proactively contribute to our organizational goal of enhancing patient care through quality evaluation and ongoing support.

This position specifically caters to individuals who have experienced trauma, including but not limited to, physical injury, emotional distress, and psychological challenges stemming from various life events. You'll be working closely with patients who require understanding and specialized treatment to overcome their struggles. Your expertise will help facilitate healing and guide them toward achieving their personal health goals.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.
• Current valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in counseling, specifically with trauma patients.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and telehealth platforms; experience with Salesforce and EMR systems is a significant advantage.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to foster trust and rapport with diverse patient populations.

• Experience in a remote counseling role is preferred, demonstrating an ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to the virtual environment.
• Familiarity with contemporary trauma-informed care approaches and techniques is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of community resources and referral processes to support integrated care approaches for patients.
