Job description

Job Title: Central Energy Plant Manager Location: Biddeford, Maine Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 Contractor Work Model: Onsite โ€“ onsite

Overview The Asset Manager IV will be responsible to work with a set of company customers to review energy usage and strategies in order to implement the best practices. This will include directly managing the O&M of the CEP for the campus, working with, and mentoring the owner's staff on the O&M and energy usage of multiple facilities as part of a greater campus effort.

Responsibilities

  • Review energy usage on a daily basis for the facility and provide guidance, best practices, and modifications of current operations.
  • Mentor the owner on energy strategies.
  • Manage the Central Energy Plant Operation and Maintenance including subcontractors, operators, and internal service providers.
  • Manage the Maintenance Reserve Accounts for the CEP.
  • Work with operators to ensure the plant operates efficiently.
  • Perform ongoing training of the Plant Operators.
  • Develop and maintain the Plant Operating Manual.
  • Assist the EPC team with the coordination of engineering, procurement, and construction activities with OMC operations.
  • Coordinate on-site troubleshooting and diagnostic efforts with remote support services team.
  • Manage a team or multiple teams consisting of Asset Managers.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience managing multiple sites and/or multiple Asset Managers or in a similar management role.
  • Or 6+ years of management experience in a central plant or facility.
  • Or 6+ years of mechanical construction experience with a large mechanical subcontractor or MEP design consultant.
  • Well versed in building codes and standards.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of the industry and the company's competitors.
  • Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of scope when necessary.
  • Preferred: 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree (ABET accredited).
  • PE license preferred or FE working towards PE.
  • Travel required: 10-25% of time to job sites/office.
  • Physical activities include ascending/descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and working in tight or confined spaces.
  • Physical demands include medium work, lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Environmental conditions vary from noisy to quiet environments.
