Job description

Role Summary

The ETF Sales Specialist (ESS) will be focused on developing and executing the firm's distribution initiatives related to the sale of Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) through US-based intermediaries. The role will report to a senior sales leader in USI Wealth with a dotted line to the lead ETF subject matter expert on the ETF Investment Team. The ETF Sales Specialist will support a sales strategy to ensure T. Rowe Price is maximizing its sales of ETFs in partnership with field sales teams across segments with financial advisors. This role will cover the Central territory of the U.S. and frequent travel will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with and support field salespeople in identifying, qualifying, engaging, and impacting the adoption of ETFs within the territory's advisor clients and prospects.
  • Responsible for driving ETF sales results directly with a defined client list of ETF power users including RIAs, ETF strategists, robo advisors, financial advisors, and asset managers.
  • Partner with ETF enablement, sales distribution, and data teams (i.e. Broadridge and 13F data sources) to ensure we're effectively using relevant data to target the highest value ETF users across Wealth Management segments.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge and profile of assigned ETF clients, their sensitivities, and their business needs to effectively influence their decision-making.
  • Lead efforts with various T. Rowe Price distribution teams on training/education on our ETFs, with a particular focus on go-to-market needs including client facing marketing collateral and training needs.
  • Serve as a subject-matter-expert on ETFs, the ETF landscape, and capital markets ecosystem in client facing discussions to further the distribution of ETFs through financial advisors.
  • Travel extensively with field team to engage advisor clients and provide 1-on-1 teaching to sales team on ETF subject matter.
  • Maintain and be aware of full ETF opportunity pipeline with intentional focus to serve, in multiple capacities, as a resource to win these business opportunities.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 10+ years of total relevant work experience
  • 5 years of ETF distribution experience
  • Series 7 and 63 licensing
  • Ability to travel

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree or designation
  • Exceptional communication skills including written, verbal, and delivering presentations
  • Experience with the U.S. investment distribution and working with financial advisors across different segments including Broker/Dealers, Registered Investments Advisors, Banks, and Retail Platforms
  • Strong understanding of the players in the ETF ecosystem, capital markets, sophisticated investment vehicles, and financial market's structure
  • Proven ability to drive sales directly with intermediary clients
  • Strong organizational, time management, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to drive results and operate independently
  • Team orientation with intentional mindset to partner and build business collaboratively
  • In-depth knowledge of ETFs and competing investment vehicles such as mutual funds, separately managed accounts, etc.

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are required and will be supported for this role.
