Description:

We are seeking part-time video editor contractors to support our content production team. This is a remote contractor role focused on delivering high-quality long-form and short-form video content.

You will take raw footage and turn it into polished, ready-to-publish deliverables, including long-form edits, short-form clips, captions, thumbnails when needed, and organized final asset packages.

This role is ideal for editors who are fast, detail-oriented, and comfortable working within established templates and creative direction while using AI tools to improve efficiency.

We are also looking for someone who takes ownership of their lane. This is not just an execution role โ€” we want editors who can bring ideas, make thoughtful suggestions, identify opportunities to improve the workflow or output, and help strengthen the overall content operation.

For the right person, there is strong potential for growth into greater responsibility over time. If you show seriousness, consistency, strong judgment, and ownership, this role can expand.

Key Responsibilities:

Edit raw footage into polished long-form videos

Create engaging short-form clips for social media platforms

Add captions, subtitles, and polish audio

Create or assist with video thumbnails

Export final deliverables in the correct formats

Organize and package final assets for easy distribution

Follow brand guidelines, templates, and creative direction

Use AI tools to support editing, clipping, and production workflow

Take ownership of assigned deliverables and maintain a high standard of output

Suggest improvements to editing, packaging, workflow, and content performance where appropriate

Requirements:

Experience editing both long-form and short-form video content

Strong understanding of pacing, cuts, captions, and platform-specific formatting

Ability to follow templates and creative direction with minimal oversight

Comfortable using AI tools as part of the editing process

Reliable, deadline-oriented, and well-organized with file management

Able to work independently, take ownership, and communicate clearly in a remote environment

Must be able to work remotely as a contractor

Preferred:

Experience with YouTube, podcast, or business/creator content

Portfolio demonstrating both long-form and short-form work

Startup or fast-paced environment experience

Comfortable making recommendations and contributing ideas beyond the edit itself
