Overview

Hexagon Autonoumous Solutions Business Area is looking for a Finance Partner for the Agriculture Division who will play a pivotal role in driving business performance and supporting the achievement of growth and profitability objectives. You will provide financial insight and strategic guidance to enable effective decision-making across the organisation. Reporting to the President of the Agriculture division, you will be working closely with the President and senior leadership team, as well as the Positioning+ finance team.

The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position can be remote in North America, or based in one of our Hexagon campuses in Tucson, Arizona or Calgary, Alberta.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities as Finance Partner, Agriculture Division include:

Strategy & Planning

  • Collaborating with division leadership to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with strategy for the Agriculture Division.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and guidance on business strategies.
  • Conducting risk assessment and management activities, identifying potential financial risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Linking R&D to offer launch and P&L impact.
  • Building a cash conversion and reoccurring revenue culture across the Division.

Logistics & Operations Finance

  • Gross margin accountability, in concert with supply chain, ensuring pricing models reflect market opportunity whilst covering cost.
  • Enabling supply chain optimisation through excellence in sales forecasting.
  • Building a culture of opex leverage, taking advantage of scale, systems, tools and playbooks to enhance profit through reuse of resources.

FP&A

  • In concert with finance operations, developing and maintaining financial models to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
  • Conducting ad-hoc analysis to support key business initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Performing variance analysis and providing explanations for financial performance against budget and forecast.
  • Actively driving cash conversion performance.
  • Assisting in the preparation of management reports and presentations for senior leadership.

Governance

  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies and monitoring changes in regulatory requirements.
  • Championing internal controls as per Key Control area.
  • Acting as custodian of the Autonomous Solutions Governance, Accountability and Autonomy Matrix for the Agriculture Division, ensuring divisional adherence to all applicable policies, standards, and regulatory requirements and that sub-delegations are maintained, filed, and aligned with Business Area functional dotted lines.

Stakeholder Experience

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to the Agriculture Division President and leadership team.
  • Prioritising stakeholder needs and enhancing their experience.
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Ensuring alignment between corporate services and stakeholder expectations.

Supporting Others & GBS Shared Services

  • Working with the Global Finance Centres (GBS Accounting & Operations) to enable end-to-end harmonisation of business processes in line with the divisional strategy.
  • Providing recommendations for process improvements and efficiencies to enhance financial performance.
  • Environment, Sustainability and Governance (ESG) as required.
  • M&A closing and post close follow up aligned with PMI practices.
  • In concert with strategy, supporting the M&A pipeline from LOI through DD to PMI rigorously applying both commercial and financial logic.
Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or similar advantageous.
  • At least 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including significant FP&A, project accounting, and business partnering exposure.
  • International experience with a solid understanding of multi-jurisdictional finance operations and global shared services models.
  • Experience governing R&D accounting, logistics/operations finance, and project cost management.
  • Exposure to M&A, Due Diligence and Integration practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with senior divisional and SBU leaders (VP level and above) across complex, matrixed organisations, including collaboration with other FBP's.
  • Experience operating within or stewarding governance and delegation authority frameworks (e.g. approval authority matrices, policy and controls environments) in a complex, multi-divisional organisation.

  • Storytelling: The ideal candidate should have an excellent ability to build compelling and easy to understand stories in terms of performance, strategy and outlook.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen is necessary to make informed decisions, allocate resources effectively, and drive profitability. This includes financial analysis, market insights, and risk management.
  • Collaboration and Influence: The FBP will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners globally. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills are vital.
  • Change Management: Ability to navigate complex organisational changes, address resistance, and ensure smooth adoption of new strategies and processes across a globally distributed team.
  • Technical Understanding: While not necessarily an engineer, the FBP should grasp the technical aspects of Autonomous Solutions. Familiarity with technologies from brands like NovAtel, AutonomouStuff, Veripos, and Antcom within Hexagon's Agriculture division would be advantageous.
  • Results-Oriented: The FBP must be driven by results. Setting measurable goals, tracking progress, and adjusting strategies as needed are critical.

  • Experience in Precision Agriculture industry or hardware technology company preferred.
